March Against Austerity this Autumn

As the recession continues to bite and the ConDem continue their austerity policies there will be 2 major demonstrations in the Autumn.

On Sunday 7th October the TUC have called a ‘March for the Alternative’ in Birmingham to coincide with the opening of the Tory Conference in the city. Last year 40,000 people marched on the Tory Conference in Manchester, this year should be even bigger.

On Saturday 20th October the TUC have called a national demonstration. Last year this saw half a million people on the streets, one of the biggest demonstrations Britain has ever seen. This year should be bigger.

Every anti cuts activist, workfare campaigner and trade unionistwill welcome the opportunity to mobilise for another mass demonstration against austerity and the ConDems.
