UNISON and UNITE members working for the Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health Trust struck today against cuts in their wages.
Workers stand to lose an average of £1,400 per year as the Trust attempts to cut their Regional Secure Unit allowance. This is a massive cut in pay, and will impact hard on the pensions of those approaching retirement.
Workers on the picket line at Reaside were in a determined and buoyant mood.
