Coryton workers fight to save their jobs

Coryton workers and supporters protested on Monday at the Vopak terminal in Purfleet, Essex, and refineries at Grangemouth near Edinburgh and Lindsey near Hull.

This was the latest in a series protests called by UNITE against the loss of 850 jobs at the refineries. The government have so far refused to intervene.

A rally was held at the terminsal and protestors remained in the road. Local police waded into the protestors and 3 people were arrested.
