Over 20 members of the National Union of Teachers (NUT) at Swinton Community School Rotherham, will on Friday take a second day of strike action against a staffing restructuring which will result in the loss of jobs and compulsory redundancy.
RMT members and supporters kicked off their 72 hour strike by Tube Lines workers at 4pm on Tuesday.
RMT members are striking from 4pm on Tuesday 24th April for 72 hours. They are fighting to be allowed to join the TfL Pension Scheme and receive the same travel concessions as those who work for LUL

Teachers in Nottingham and East London will be on strike on Wednesday 25th April. Teachers in Rotherham will be on strike on Friday 27th.
Hundreds of Remploy workers and supporters gathered outside the Department of Work and Pensions on Friday and then marched on Parliament. A similar protest was held in Sheffield.
Disabled People Against Cuts say they will continue their campaign to wreak havoc in London and plan to regularly bringing traffic in the capital to a grinding halt.
On May 10th UNITE members in the NHS and PCS members will be on strike against the government’s attacks on public sector pensions. May 10th will see at least 300,000 workers on strike, with other unions discussing joining the action.
